Shqipet vs Walthamstow Red Star

Division Two

Eva Hart vs South Ilford Catholics

Division Three

Beckton Gas vs Barking Colts

S.F.N. vs Global Reserves

A varied and interesting second week of retricted fixtures for this coming weekend.

Sure enough we have a very sore Weare United outfit who were pegged back last Sunday showing all the signs of a team who have the tools to listen, learn and make good on their debut season. A tough test awaits though as they travel to meet a team who finished the season absolutely on fire. Dave Sargent officiates.

Global, the current champions, open up their campaign against JK Silvertown who were promoted last season. Consistency and determination are keywords for the East London family as they embark on their toughest challenge to date. There will be no wasted games in this division so both will be keen not to drop the baton. Taking charge is Liam Giles.

Shqipet come into this game still celebrating their remarkable Charlie White cup success. What it did though was to prove they have the armoury to compete and make a real case for league honours. Meeting them today is another developing unit in Walthamstow. They themselves reached the Premier Cup Final and were not disgraced, only succumbing in the final seconds. Red Star have what it takes but they have to prove it week in week out. Billy Taylor will be there to keep the house in order.

In the Second Division, Eva Hart, under new management and playing personnel hope to resurrect the name and make progress this season. On Sunday they will face promoted South Ilford Catholics who will be relishing the challenge after a good overall season. Aaron Mills takes charge of proceedings as both teams will be looking to make a statement.

In Division Three, I will be there to run the rule over a good clash between two teams who love to play football. Beckton Gas will be opening their account for the season whilst Barking Colts will be attempting the rebound after a narrow loss in the opening week. SFN debut in the ESFC with a tough first fixture against a Global Reserve side who have taken to the division like a duck to water. Will it be the new team that makes the splash this weekend?  Alan Spike has the whistle and will maintain order at The Pyramids.
